FOB's at Naigaon and Nalasopara To Shut Down

After the tragic incident of CSMT's Himalaya bridge collapsing, the authorities are being extra careful and are repairing all the bridges at stations. The Railways have stopped the functioning of FOBs which are in dilapidated conditions. After Malad, Khar, Dombivli, Mumbai Central, the Railways has now decided to repair the Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at Nalasopara, Dadar and Naigaon stations.

A new 10 metre FOB will be an alternative for the Nallasopara FOB, which is towards Virar, and a staircase towards Churchgate on platform number 4 will be shut from April 13. 

The construction of new FOB at Naigaon station had started since April 6. A new 10 meter wide FOB has been started from April 6, instead of the old bridge at Naigaon station. The old FOB will be closed from April 13.

The stairs of Tilak Road Over Bridge (ROB) near Dadar Station will remain closed from April 13 to July 11 for up to 3 months. During this period, passengers can use new FOBs and skywalks.
