Kolhapur and Sangli Flood Relief: Mumbai's World Trade Centre Donates ₹1 crore

With the Western Coast of Maharashtra hit by floods, the districts of Kolhapur and Sangli have been affected drastically. The distress of farmers and locals has been increasing tremendously.

Maharashtra Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadnavis had started a CM relief fund in order to collect funds for the flood-affected areas. Many individuals and moreover Ganpati mandals from Mumbai had come forward to lend their help by contributing towards the fund.

Recently, Mumbai's World Trade Centre's chairman Kamal Morarka donated ₹1 crore to the Chief Minister relief fund. While handing over the cheque to CM Devendra Fadnavis, Morarka stated that he is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of more than 50 people and how over 5 lakh people have been displaced. He expressed a strong sense of admiration towards all the Government and Non-Government Organisation's (NGOs) efforts towards the betterment of the flood-affected area people.
