Mumbai Traffic Update: Road Closures, One-Way & No-Parking Zones In Dadar For Ambedkar Jayanti

The Mumbai Traffic Police have announced special traffic restrictions across parts of Mumbai until midnight on Tuesday, April 14.

This is in view of the large number of followers of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar expected to visit Chaityabhoomi to mark his 135th birth anniversary.

As per reports, in order to ensure smooth vehicular movements, crowd management and public safety, diversions such as several roads closures, no parking zones and one-way routes will remain in place near Dadar’s Shivaji Park.

One-way Routes:

SK Bole Road will function as a one-way route from Siddhivinayak Temple Junction up to Portuguese Church.

Road Closures:

  • SVS Road, between Siddhivinayak Temple Junction and Yes Bank Junction, will be closed to all vehicles. However, local residents will be permitted access via Road No 5.
  • Ranade Road will remain shut for all types of traffic.
  • Dnyaneshwar Mandir Road will be closed from its junction with SVS Road up to Dadar Chowpatty.

Parking Restrictions

  • Veer Savarkar Marg, from Century Junction to Yes Bank Junction
  • Ranade Road
  • Keluskar Road (South) and Keluskar Road (North)
  • Dnyaneshwar Mandir Road

Parking Areas Available:

  • Senapati Bapat Marg from Mahim to Dadar
  • India Bulls Finance Centre
  • Kohinoor Square PPL
  • Kohinoor Mill Compound
  • Kamgar Stadium
  • Five Gardens in Matunga
