CR, BEST To Run Special Local Trains, Additional Buses on April 14 For Ambedkar Jayanti

The official said that Railways and BEST will coordinate for seamless transport of visitors, adding that ambulances would be deployed and a central control room would also be set up along with CCTV surveillance and heavy police deployment.

CR, BEST To Run Special Local Trains, Additional Buses on April 14 For Ambedkar Jayanti

The Central Railway (CR) will run four special Mumbai local trains on the intervening night of April 13 and 14 to facilitate movement of commuters on the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti.

According to an official notification from DRM Mumbai Central Railway, special trains will operate on the CSMT–Kalyan and CSMT–Panvel routes.

Details are as under:

Main Line

Special train will depart CSMT at 01.30 hrs on 14.04.2026 and arrive Kalyan at 03.00 hrs.

Special train will depart Kalyan at 01.30 hrs on 14.04.2026 and arrive CSMT at 03.00 hrs.

Harbour Line

Special train will depart CSMT at 01.30 hrs on 14.04.2026 and arrive Panvel at 02.50 hrs.

Special train will depart Panvel at 01.30 hrs on 14.04.2026 and arrive CSMT at 02.50 hrs

On 14.04.2026 Suburban services will run as normal schedule

Passengers are requested to note and avail the facilities.

In addition to this, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Trasnport (BEST) will be operating additional bus ferry services from Dadar station to Shivaji Park and Chaityabhoomi on the occasion for the commuters. According to the report, the bus services will be available from 12.01 am to 10 pm on April 14, enabling his followers to travel conveniently.
