Although the rains have started this year, there has not been enough rainfall yet. Even in the Morbe dam area of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, only 99 mm of rain has fallen during this year's monsoon period and the current dam level is 68.95 m.
Accordingly, on behalf of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, water is being supplied seven days a week in the morning and only evening water is being supplied four days out of seven. A department wise schedule has been prepared for this and citizens have been urged to use water sparingly keeping in mind the rainfall condition and it is getting a positive response from the citizens.
