Raj Thackeray, Leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), was recently spotted by media houses indulging in a tennis match with son Amit Thackeray.

The father-son duo was spotted together on a court at Mumbai's Shivaji Park Gymkhana. Amit, who was earlier admitted to the hospital after a nasty bout of fever seemed to have completely recovered. According to reports, they enjoyed a short game and Amit termed it as a good way to "spend time with his busy dad".

Two days back, MNS chief Raj Thackeray had met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in connection with the inflated electricity bills received by state residents. In response to this, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut claimed that Thackeray had “insulted Maharashtra” as he chose to visit the Governor instead of the CM. The MNS hit back, stating the Sena should introspect on the “number of times it has insulted Maharashtra.” However, Raj Thackeray indicated that he would also meet NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray when the time was right.

On the other hand, Amit Thackeray was a part of the MNS delegation that visited Raj Bhavan. A graduate from Ruparel College in Mumbai, Amit went heads on campaigning for the party, attending roadshows in Mumbai, Pune and Nasik. Moreover, the introduction of the fresh party seal and colours further witnessed the debut of the young Thackeray who had maintained a low profile until then.
