On Monday morning, a water pipeline burst near Metro Cinema and the road above the pipeline caved in. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) immediately undertook road repair work.

To add on to it, prior to the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the road close to the mosque near Metro Cinema will be kept shut and this might cause traffic to come to a standstill.

Around 4:45 pm, the road caved in and water pipeline beneath the road broke leaving a 5 feet wide pothole. Meanwhile, Kiran Dighavkar, A ward’s assistant commissioner informed that the repair work would be done on an immediate basis.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be coming to Mumbai near Bombay Hospital for which the road will be cordoned off. Also, passengers who alight at Marine Lines station use the mosque road to reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus station. Now, if the said road is kept closed on Tuesday, it will lead to a massive traffic jam.
