Siddhivinayak Temple Trust To Soon Start A Homeodialysis Centre

Siddhivinayak Temple Trust will soon start a hemodialysis centre in Prabhadevi's Appasaheb Marathe Marg. The place has been leased by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to the trust for the period of 10 years. 

Further, a deposit of ₹1.5 lakhs has been taken from the temple authorities at certain conditions. The dialysis service can be availed by people from poor economic conditions at the minimal cost of ₹250 and around 200 patients can be attended at a time.

The 156 square meter space will be on the third floor of building number 925 at Appasaheb Marathe Marg. Notably, hemodialysis is a medical procedure to remove fluid and waste products from the blood and to correct electrolyte imbalances. This is accomplished using a machine and a dialyzer which also referred to as an "artificial kidney." Hemodialysis is used to treat both acute (temporary) and chronic (permanent) kidney failure.
