Two teenagers fall in the sea near Malad's Coco Island

In a recently reported incident, two children drowned near  Coco Island, at Marve Beach in Malad West. Officials were informed about the same at 5:40 pm on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Rescue teams immediately rushed to the spot and the operation began at 6:05 pm. 

As per reports, two boys aged 16 and 13 fell in the sea and rescue operation was conducted using ropes and hook anchors. FRT crew along with the boats were present at the incident. However, the search and operations were stopped after a few hours, due to darkness and hightide.

Officials asked the public to informed the police and concerned departments if any floating bodies were found.  Further, the information received also confirmed that the navy officers and rescue teams will resume the search operation tomorrow. The incident was handed over to PSI Bhandari at Malvani Police station.
