2 Days Water Cut Between Bandra-Dadar From April 18

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced partial to full water cut in several areas of Bandra, Mahim, Matunga and Dadar on April 18-19. The civic body said that it aims to facilitate the connection of two main water lines in Dadar's Navrang Compound.

According to the information received, the work of connecting the Upper Vaitarna Main Water Channel located at Navrang Compound is to be done by the North Division of the Municipal Corporation.

This work will commence at 10 am on April 18 to 4 am the next day, April 19. The valves are of 2400 mm and 450 mm each in diameter, therefore to carry out the connection operation, one of the supply mains will be shut. During this 18-hour period, some areas will experience 100 per cent water cut, while some will experience 25 per cent cut.

Therefore, BMC officials have appealed to the citizens to use water cautiously.

25% water cut in these areas:

G North- 60 Feet Road, 90 Feet Road, Shiv-Mahim Link Road, A. K. Yes. Nagar, M.P. On April 18, 25 percent water supply has been stopped in the city, Mahatma Gandhi Marg and Sant Kakkaya Marg areas.

List of Areas With 100% Water Cut:

1. H East Division – Water supply will remain closed in Bandra Railway Terminus and Bandra Station area on 18th and 19th April.

2. There will be water cut in the morning of 18th April in G North – Dharavi Loop Road, Naik Nagar, Prem Nagar.

3. G North – Dharavi Loop Marg, Ganesh Mandir Marg, Dilip Kadam Marg, Mahim Phatak Marg will be closed in the evening on April 18.

Additionally, water supply will remain closed in Amravati and Badnera also on April 18-19. Water is leaking from the pipeline supplying water to Amravati city, hence the supply will be stopped for repair work.
