The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) took to Twitter on Tuesday, January 18, to state that water supply to some areas in the A, B, E, F / South and F / North wards will be cut off from 10 am on Friday, January 21, 2022, to 10 am on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

On the other hand, there will be a low-pressure water supply in some parts of F / South and F / North wards, stated the civic body.

Ward A includes Colaba and Fort, while Ward B entails Dongri. Similarly, Ward E is Byculla and F/South is Parel and Lalbaug. On the other hand, F/North comprises Dadar East, Matunga and Sion

The water cut can be attributed to the fact that the civic authority will undertake the work of removing the old aqueduct of 1450mm diameter from Barrister Nath Pai Junction Mhatarpakhadi and Dockyard Road. This is being done to streamline the water supply in the E-division.

Thus, the civic body has asked concerned citizens to store as much water as possible as a precautionary measure on the day prior to the cut. They added that water supply will be offered at low pressure for the next two days after the water supply is restored.
