An attempt has been made to blackmail Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. A case has been registered in Malabar Hill Police Station in this regard. Amruta Fadnavis alleged in the complaint that she was being blackmailed by trying to pay a bribe of one crore rupees.

Amruta Fadnavis filed a case against designers Aniksha Jaisinghani and Anil Jaisinghani at Malabar Hill Police Station this morning. Suspected accused Aniksha and Anil were both blackmailing Amruta Fadnavis. Malabar Hill Police reached Anil Jaisinghani's house in Ulhasnagar as soon as the Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis gave the information in the Assembly.

The police interrogated Aniksha in the apartment for about six hours. After this investigation Malabar Hill Police has arrested Aniksha. Police are investigating the incident further.

What does the FIR say?

Suspected accused Aniksha was in contact with Amruta Fadnavis for about 16 months. She also went to Amruta Fadnavis' house. She has said in the complaint that Aniksha and I met for the first time in November 2021.
