A shocking incident has come to the fore of threats and bribery to Amruta Fadnavis, the wife of Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Devendra Fadnavis. A case has been registered in Malabar Hill Police Station against designer Aniksha and her father in this regard. After the news was brought to the fore by 'Indian Express', there has been a stir. Devendra Fadnavis has explained this in the assembly. Devendra Fadnavis has claimed that this attempt was made to put him in trouble.
Devendra Fadnavis said, "There is a person named Anil Jayasinghe, who has been absconding for seven or eight years. He has 14 to 15 cases registered against him. One of his daughters was meeting my wife during 2015-16. Then suddenly the meeting stopped. In the year 2021, she started seeing my wife again. Then she started saying, I am a designer, I make clothes and jewellery. She also got her mother's book published to gain faith."
“One day she said, my father has been implicated in some wrongdoing, free him. If there is anything, my wife suggested that I give a statement. A few days later, she offered INR 1 crore to rescue her father. However, if they are wrongly trapped, they can be rescued by the police, said the wife. But, when the daughter kept bringing up the subject of bookies, and my wife blocked her on the phone. Two days after being blocked, some videos and clips came from an unknown number,” said Devendra Fadnavis.
“One of these videos was critical. In it, this girl was seen filling money in a bag somewhere outside. In the second video, the girl is seen giving the bag to the female employee of our house. Later that person threatened my wife that they will make this video viral. He said he has connections with all parties. So please help us and take immediate action to withdraw the cases. When the wife told this story, we immediately registered a case," said Fadnavis.
“But, later he told my wife that he wants to take back the crimes against me. The video will not go viral anywhere. He thought, I and the police do not know about this. Then he took the names of some policemen and leaders. His daughter said, during the previous commissioner's time, action was taken to withdraw our crimes. But, it stopped when your government came. While talking, she gave hints on how to do it," revealed Devendra Fadnavis shockingly.
"Currently the accused is at large for the past five to six years. The girl may not be found. However, they repeatedly tried to get me into trouble. Also, I suspected that something wrong was going on with my family," Fadnavis explained.
