Foreign Currency Worth ₹3 crore seized in Mahim

Foreign currency worth ₹3 crore was seized at Mahim in a taxi and it was going to be sent to Bengaluru, Kolkata and Ahmedabad by flight. After the flight got cancelled, it was being taken to an office in Dadar and was caught during police patrolling on Thursday, April 11.

The case has been handed over for further investigation to the Income Tax department and Election Commission. The investigation till now has confirmed that it had nothing to do with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Income Tax Department officials are ascertaining the facts of the incident and additional investigation is going on.
