22 flats of Air India from various parts of Mumbai like Cuffe Parade, Bandra, Mahim, Prabhadevi and Khar will be auctioned on April 26 with the bidding being conducted by MSTC (Metal Scrap Trade Corporation Limited).

Notably, in March, Air India sold flats of Jupiter Apartment at Altamount Road to the Accountant General’s office in Maharashtra which was worth ₹24.33 crore.

Last year, the iconic building of Air India at Nariman Point was put up for auction only for government entities. However, there were no takes at all.

Other successful deals were 3 BHK flat in Nav Vidya Lakshmi, Mahim for ₹3.12 crore along with three properties from Sachin Da, Khar. A 3-BHK flat priced at ₹5.15 crore, two 2 BHK flats for ₹4.28 crore and ₹4.88 crore.

The iconic Air India building at Nariman Point is a 23-storey building with occupants like Directorate General of Shipping, State Bank of India, Tata Consultancy Service, whereas, the Air India headquarters had been shifted to Delhi in February 2013. Notably, Air India once hung a board on the building, its new headquarters, that said: “Nariman had a point and we’re on it!”
