FYJC Colleges to Begin Academic Session from July 15; Admission Process to Continue Through Special Rounds

Junior colleges across Maharashtra will begin the new academic session on July 15, even as the FYJC (Class 11) admission process continues through additional special rounds to fill vacant seats. The School Education Department has directed colleges to commence regular classes without waiting for the completion of admissions.

Students who have already secured admission have been asked to report to their allotted colleges from July 15, while those yet to receive seats will continue to participate in the upcoming admission rounds.

Colleges have been instructed to ensure that students admitted in later rounds are not academically disadvantaged and are provided the necessary support to cover missed coursework.

The decision comes after the extension of the Special Round 1 admission schedule due to heavy rainfall in parts of Maharashtra. The state is continuing the admission process to accommodate students who are yet to secure seats, while ensuring that the academic calendar remains on track.
