Two CBSE schools run by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation are providing quality English-medium education to children from ordinary and middle-class families in the city. These schools have received a great response from both students and parents.
School No. 93 (CBSE School Seawoods, Sector 50) started on August 4, 2018, and School No. 94 (Koparkhairane, Sector 11) began around the same time. Now, both schools have received permanent recognition from the government and are affiliated with the CBSE board until 2030.
This is a proud moment for the Education Department of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The success has been possible due to the combined efforts of teachers, students, parents, and education officials.
Admissions for Class 1 began in 2018, and with each passing year, a new grade was added. These schools were started by the Corporation’s Education Department in partnership with the Akanksha Foundation. They offer classes from Grade 1 to Grade 8.
Both schools have modern facilities such as smart TVs, CCTV cameras, computer labs, digital classrooms, sports equipment, and nutritious meals. Experienced and trained teachers guide students individually and ensure quality learning. Students from these schools have participated in many competitions and won awards. The number of students is steadily increasing, and both schools continue to receive a positive response from the community.
Importantly, permanent government recognition ensures that students will have no issues when appearing for board exams. Also, School No. 94 in Koparkhairane has been recognised as a ‘PM Shri School’ at the national level.
