Mumbai University: "These" Course Exams Will Be Conducted Offline

According to the latest reports, all exams for professional courses of Mumbai University that include engineering, law, pharmacy and MCA will be held offline. These exams which will be the first offline test for university students after a gap of two years will be an amalgamation of descriptive and multiple-choice questions. 

Based on accounts, the circular issued on late Wednesday, February 23, provides students giving descriptive papers a choice of revaluation. However, a decision regarding the final semester exams for all traditional undergraduate courses is yet to be taken.

This time around, the university has decided to conduct exams for all professional courses in the offline mode. Additionally, a uniform schedule and questions papers will be provided by the university. For the said courses, 60 marks will be for descriptive questions while 20 marks will be for MCQ.

It has been reported that law exams will also be conducted offline where 30 marks will be for descriptive questions and 30 marks for MCQs. For BEd, semesters 1 and 3 (backlog) will be online, while semesters 2 and 4 will be offline.

On the other hand, practical exams will begin from March 21 in the online/offline mode. After consultations with the local district administration, offline exams will be conducted at the college level. 

Similarly, descriptive format papers can be given for revaluation, those in the MCQ format cannot. Those who miss out on online exams owing to technical reasons will be given an additional attempt. Colleges have been told to apprise students about the mode and exam format in advance.
