Shahrukh Khan’s new movie, Zero is all set to hit the theaters next month throughout the country. The focus of the film is a dwarf named ‘Bauua’ whose character is played by Shahrukh. However, the movie has landed in trouble even before its release as one of the posters allegedly portrays ‘kirpan’, a holy Sikh dagger and this has hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikh community.
Accordingly, a police complaint was filed against the actor for insulting the community’s religious beliefs. In addition to that, a petition against the film has also been filed. The major issue with the poster is that Shahrukh Khan is in his vests and he is allegedly holding a ‘kirpan’ in his hand.
Thus, the petitioners have demanded that the objectionable scene must be removed from the movie.
Mumbai Congress Vice President Charansingh Sapra had written had a letter to Mumbai Police and had registered a complaint against the movie. After which, a lawyer Amrutpal Singh has filed a petition against the movie in the court.
