Mumbai is witnessing cloudy skies and humid conditions, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting light rainfall in parts of North Konkan.
According to the IMD, overcast conditions are expected to persist in the city, while nearby districts such as Thane and Palghar may receive light showers. Isolated drizzle has already been reported in some Mumbai suburbs, indicating early pre-monsoon activity.
The changing weather pattern has led to a slight drop in daytime temperatures, though humidity levels remain high. Officials have also indicated the possibility of thunderstorms and gusty winds in parts of Maharashtra over the next few days.
A yellow alert has been issued in some regions, warning residents of possible adverse weather conditions. The current spell is expected to bring temporary relief from the recent heat across the region.
