The coronavirus crisis has left quite a few people without food or proper shelter. Keeping this in mind, several NGOs and institutions across the country have established canteens or food distribution camps.
The institution will reportedly distribute two meals a day to 500 labourers. The university in its statement said that migrant workers are currently held up in Maharashtra. The institution is supported by NGO Chingari Shakti Foundation which helped with the procurement of oil, spices, food packets and some other miscellaneous materials. The Deputy Collector was also involved with collecting food grains for this charitable cause.

However, there are still thousands of people who miss out. Individual crowd-supported or NGO programs such as this can have a big impact on the migrant labourers who are currently struggling for one meal each day.
