Thane-Borivali Twin Tunnel Will Be Ready By 2028: Devendra Fadanvis

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the Thane-Borivali Twin Tunnel is a game-changer project, after its completion, the journey of one and a half to two hours will be completed in just 15 minutes. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has set a deadline to complete all public infrastructure projects in the state within three years from the start.

Chief Minister Fadnavis gave strict instructions in this regard at a high-level meeting held at the Cabinet Hall of the Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai. During this, he reviewed the progress of the much-awaited Thane to Borivali Twin Tunnel project. He directed to complete the entire project in the shortest possible time and also gave many important instructions in this regard. The tunnel project will be completed by December 2028.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and other senior officials were also present in the meeting. Chief Minister Fadnavis clarified that this twin tunnel project should be completed within the stipulated time and safety and environmental standards should be fully adhered to.
