SNDA's contemporary dance production Tridha receives an impressive response

Sumeet Nagdev’s Dance Academy celebrated its 10th year anniversary with a grand finale titled Tridha - A Triple Bill Evening Tridha. The event was a 90-minute long evening focusing on three contemporary dance productions by the academy – Dhrut, Dashanan  and Trishna. Dhrut is a critically acclaimed fast paced production which has travelled globally as a dialogue of Past, Present, Future & time with a synchrony of rhythm, speed & space.

Dashanan is an interpretation of Ravana and a hypnosis of an Anti-Hero in hindsight not just Mythologically but in present times. The evening also saw Sumeet's solo performance choreographed for the first time by Steve Rooks, his Martha Graham Dance School teacher/choreographer.

Trishna is a production which was loved by many and received a standing ovation by almost at the closing ceremony of Mumbai’s popular Kala-Ghoda Arts Festival. This production focused on women and their interpretation in the larger section of the society. It is inspired by real life instances of a domestic helper and her husband.

The event which was held recently in Bandra, received an impressive response.
