BJP MLA Manda Mhatre booked for violating model code of conduct

Amid the election season, there have been several complaints filed against several leaders from various political parties for violating the model code of conduct and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Manda Mhatre has also joined the list. 

A complaint was filed against Mhatre for appealing the gathering to vote twice for Shiv Sena candidates in Satara and Thane LS constituency. The voting process in Satara will start on April 23 and in Thane, the same will be held on April 29. Mhatre was addressing party workers on Sunday at an event organised in Kopar Khairane sector-5.

Shiv Sena candidate Rajan Vichare is contesting LS poll from Thane while Shiv Sena candidate Narendra Patil is contesting the national election from Satara constituency. Mhatre appealed to the voters to go and vote twice in both the constituencies.
