Bombay High Court on Tuesday refused to provide bail to activists including Sudha Bharadwaj, Vernon Gonsalves and Arun Ferriera who were arrested for their alleged involvement in Bhima-Koregaon violence and having links with Maoists.

Justice Sarang V Kotwal gave the verdict while rejecting the bail pleas filed by the arrested activist. The advocates including Mihir Desai, Dr. Yug Mohit Chaudhary and Sudeep Pasbola were present for the accused applicants.

A single bench of Justice Kotwal began hearing the bail pleas on August 26 and reserved the judgement on October 7.

The three accused were placed under house arrest in August last year in a series of such arrests carried out by Pune Police in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon case.
