Maharashtra Congress working President Nitin Raut on Sunday hit out at Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar over his remarks against Congress’ Interim President Sonia Gandhi. Khattar, in a rally, called Gandhi a “mari hui chuhiya (dead mouse)”.

Reacting to Khattar’s remarks, Raut said that Haryana CM is a “Khacchar” adding that if Khattar should make such statements on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Taking a dig at the economic slowdown, Raut said that people had expectations from PM Modi when he came to power that the economy would grow while generating employment. However, nothing has happened, added Raut.

Earlier, while addressing an election rally, Chief Minister Khattar had said that after Lok Sabha elections Rahul Gandhi resigned from Congress and said that the party should get new President who is not a Gandhi.
