Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will go on a state-wide tour from August 1. The tour is being called ‘Mahajandesh Yatra’. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Chandrakant Patil on Tuesday revealed the ‘rath’ - initially, a vehicle - for the same.

The state-wide tour will be carried out from August 1 in Amravati in Maharashtra. However, sources have informed that several chariots are being sent from Mumbai.

A party official also informed that these ‘raths’ will reach Sant Tukdoji Maharaj Math in Amravati by July 31 evening. Such ‘raths’ have been earlier used by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
