Amid the resentment with his own party, Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Eknath Khadse on Monday met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar at the latter’s residence in Delhi.

Khadse expressed that the interaction with Pawar was “good” and they discuss the political situation in Maharashtra.

We discussed the current political situation and also my daughter Rohini’s defeat in the assembly elections,” Khadse was quote in a media report.

The senior BJP leader further informed that during his meeting with Pawar he also discussed the irrigation projects in his constituency which are awaiting for centre’s approval.

I am going to meet Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday for the same,” said Khadse.

On Tuesday, Khadse met senior BJP leader Pankaja Munde in Mumbai and held talks behind closed doors for nearly three hours.

There are speculations that Pankaja Munde might quit the BJP along with Khadse as both the leaders are “unhappy” with the party’s leadership in Maharashtra.

Eknath Khadse was expected to meet the BJP office-bearers in-charge of Maharashtra in Delhi. However, the meeting did not take place as the office-bearers were busy.
