Maharashtra issues transfer order to 12 IAS officers

In a move to reshuffle administration, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday issued transfer of 12 senior IAS officers, an official said.

Among the prominent officers transferred include General Administration department principal secretary Valsa R Nair Singh has been shifted as principal secretary of the tourism department.

The state government has also appointed SB Telang following his promotion as IAS officer as managing director, Maharashtra State Co-op Marketing Federation, Mumbai. Telang is at present posted as deputy commissioner (Revenue) Nagpur Division.

Among the others promoted as IAS officers also include ST Taksale who will be the new additional commissioner, Tribal Development, Nagpur, PK Puri who will serve as joint secretary, water supply and sanitation department, Mumbai, CD Joshi who is named the new commissioner, Maharashtra state common entrance exam cell, Mumbai.

While SR Chavan, after being elevated IAS officer has been transferred as project director, Jalswaraj Project, Navi Mumbai, KS Tawadehas been appointed as managing director, Shivsahi Punarvasan Project and KV Dwivedi is transferred as additional metropolitan commissioner, PMRDA, Pune.

The Thackeray-led government has cleared the appointment of VP Phad as chief executive officer, Zilla Parishad, Osmanaba. He has recently been promoted as IAS. Phad is currently posted as additional divisional commissioner (Entertainment) Aurangabad Division.

Among the other state cadre officers elevated as IAS officers by the state government include KH Bagate who is transferred as an additional chief electoral officer, Maharashtra, Mumbai, SL Patil who has been posted as managing director, MAHANAND, DV Swami who is transferred as deputy commissioner (Revenue), Nashik Division.
