In the last five years, the people of Maharashtra have seen various episodes of power struggle. The split between political parties, the rebellion of veteran leaders, unexpected equations for power and the unprecedented transfer of power created a feeling in the minds of the people that the civilised politics of Maharashtra had been torn apart. Maha Vikas Aghadi's candidates won five out of six seats in Mumbai, giving a shock to the Mahayuti. Union Minister Piyush Goyal won from North Mumbai Lok Sabha constituency and opened the account of Mahayuti from BJP in Mumbai. However, the results of this year's Lok Sabha elections showed that the people of Mumbai rejected the candidates of the Mahayuti in five other Lok Sabha constituencies. Also, the votes received for the option of 'NOTA' also caught everyone's attention.
