While talking to the media, CM Fadnavis informed that Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar memorial construction work will be completed till 2020. The statue will be constructed in Indu Mill compound.

However, Maharashtra government recently decided to reduce the height of the statue which sparked a row with Republic Sena activist threatening to protest at Indu Mill regarding the same.

Every year, people in lakhs come to Mumbai’s Chaityabhoomi across the country belonging to diverse groups to pay respect to the late social reformer and an architect of the Indian constitution.
