Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday informed that the number of laboratories testing for COVID-19 has increased in the state. The number of COVID-19 testing labs has risen to 100, he said while adding that earlier the number stood at three.

Thackeray said that the testing laboratories have been increasing constantly. The Chief Minister was speaking while addressing Shiv Sena leaders on the occasion of the party’s 54th anniversary.

During his virtual interaction, Thackeray informed about his participation in the all-party meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the Indian China Ladakh face off in Galwan Valley.

In the violent clashes with China’s People Liberation Army (PLA), nearly 20 soldiers of the Indian Army lost their lives. Thackeray extended his full support saying that Sahyadri (the mountain range in the Western Ghats) will stand with Himalaya during these trouble times.

Thackeray, Shiv Sena chief, admitted that his interaction with the officer-bearers must have been reduced since he became the Chief Minister but it would never fade away.

During his address, Thackeray said that Shiv Sena was established to fight injustice and he would continue the legacy of his late father and party founder Bal Thackeray.

Moreover, the Shiv Sena chief informed that the local offices of the party or shakhas in Mumbai will be converted into clinics to treat patients with ailments other than COVID-19.

He praised the party workers and leaders saying that he wasn’t afraid of any crisis until he was supported by the Shiv Sainiks. Despite all the political developments, Thackeray assured the Sena leaders that the party has not changed its ideology.

Last year, on the occasion of Sena’s 53rd foundation day, Thackeray had invited senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis to put on a show of strength and bonding between the allies.
