Ahead of Maharashtra elections next year, there were appointments made for various corporation boards and authorities on Friday. This appointment has been done to keep in mind that there shall be a balance maintained between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena leaders.
Narendra Patil, who can join BJP, has been appointed as the President of Annasaheb Patil Financial Development Corporation. While Shiv Sena MLA Uday Samant from Ratnagiri has been appointed as Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) President.

Maharashtra Government announced 21 appointments of various development corporations, boards, and authorities. It consists of 10 corporations, six boards, two authorities, and one commission post.
