Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLC Prakash Gajbhiye on Wednesday protested against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Pragya Thakur over her remarks against 26/11 terror attack martyr Hemant Karkare.

Amid the ongoing Maharashtra legislature monsoon session, the NCP leader dressed up in a police uniform while holding a pamphlet which read: “It is superstitious to believe that I died because Sadhvi Pragya cursed me. I sacrificed my life for the nation”.

Karkare was the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief when he was killed in action during the Mumbai terror attack on November 26, 2008. Pragya Thakur had said that Hemant Karkare died after she cursed him for wrongfully arresting and accusing her.
