Possibility of alliance with AIMIM still open: VBA chief Prakash Ambedkar

Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar recently said that his party is open for alliance with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), adding that he never gave talked about giving eight-seats to AIMIM for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.

We never talked about giving eight seats to AIMIM, our door is still open for them. If they want an alliance with VBA, we will welcome them," Prakash Ambedkar said.

Earlier, Maharashtra AIMIM President Imtiaz Jaleel had said that if the VBA finds a solution to the issue of seat-sharing, we are still ready to ally.

Rajya Sabha MP Jaleel had earlier announced the break-up of the alliance between the Prakash Ambedkar and Asaduddin Owaisi front in Maharashtra while citing the differences due to the seat-sharing process. After breaking the alliance, AIMIM in a statement stated that they will contest the upcoming assembly elections alone on 74 seats.
