Worli- Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray refused to start his speech with 'Mitron..' at a function at Nehru Auditorium today, joking that he feared that people would take fright at a speech beginning with the word.

Thackeray was speaking at a function to give information about a 'Vande Mataram' monument that is being constructed in Bhuj district in Gujarat, financed by the Ashapura group.

Thackeray took a potshot at the prime minister without naming him. "I won’t start with my speech with ‘mitron’ because people fear this word," he quipped. Thackeray also commented on the capability of the Indian army saying it is capable of routing Pakistan in just a few hours, but it’s the ruling party’s call to add strength to our army.
