BJP is making false and ridiculous allegations that Rahul Gandhi has insulted OBCs. Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi 'Pichde nahi, Modiji ke bichde hue bhai hain’ (They are not from OBC community but are Narendra Modi’s lost brothers) criticised Congress leader Pawan Khera. He also took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the latter works 18-18 hours a day for his friend Gautam Adani.
Congress today held 'Democracy Disqualified' press conferences at 35 places across the country regarding the Adani scam. In the same background, Pawan Khera interacted with the media at Gandhi Bhavan in Mumbai. Khera said, “What is the relationship between Adani and Modi? By raising such a question in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi put the Modi government on edge. However, the Modi government removed a large part of Rahul Gandhi's speech from the proceedings. Mallikarjun Kharge's question on Adani was also removed from the proceedings of Parliament."
“Why is the Modi government so nervous on the Adani issue? Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of Adani-Modi relationship in Parliament on February 7th and nine days later the Surat court opened an old case and took an immediate action, faster than the speed of a bullet train. On March 23, Rahul Gandhi was sentenced to 2 years of jail and within 24 hours Rahul Gandhi's MP membership was revoked. The Modi government did not stop at this, but also sent a notice to Rahul Gandhi to vacate the government house," said Pawan Khera.
"Rahul Gandhi has made a home in the hearts of 140 crore people of the country. They are not afraid to ask Modi direct questions. But why is the Modi government afraid to conduct a JPC inquiry despite having a 56-inch chest and a large majority of 303 MPs,” asked Pawan Khera.
