The Surat court had convicted Rahul Gandhi and sentenced him to two years in prison for making remarks about Modi's surname. The very next day, Rahul Gandhi's membership in Parliament was revoked. He was also given a notice to vacate his residence in Delhi by the Housing Committee of the Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, the political atmosphere in the country has heated up and the Thackeray group has also targeted the Modi government. It has been criticised in 'Saamana' - the editorial mouthpiece of UBT group - that the young leader of the Nehru-Gandhi family should be made homeless by the Modi government in such a cruel and murderous way, does not portray the culture of Hindutva.
What exactly did the Thackeray group say?
"Rahul Gandhi's candidacy was cancelled in a defamation case. He was sentenced to two years in prison to cancel his membership. Within 24 hours, the government issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi to vacate his residence in Delhi. One can be overconfident, but how one gets this much self-loathing is a subject of psychological research”, criticised the Thackeray group.

“Today, many government bungalows across Delhi are illegally occupied by BJP and Sangh Parivar. The 'former' BJP MPs never left their bungalows either by retirement or defeat.
