After Maharashtra Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Sunday said that the state government is planning to deliver liquor online, the opposition slammed the government for their decision.
Earlier, the minister said that the government wants to curb down the incidents of drink and drive. Thus, they are taking the decision to sell liquor online and provide home delivery for the same. However, this idea did not fit well with the opposition.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray slammed Maharashtra government and said that the government should focus on helping the farmers suffering from draught instead.

The Shiv Sena chief further said that selling liquor is not our culture and instead of focusing on home delivery for liquor, the government should help the farmers suffering from drought in Marathwada.
Amid the opposition’s criticism, the Maharashtra government took a U-turn from their decision and said that the government has not thought about this as of now and no policy has been framed regarding the same.
