Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who established power in the state by abandoning Shiv Sena six months ago, has received a lot of support from Shiv Sena officials and former corporators in Thane district. Therefore, Uddhav's first visit to Thane city - which is currently known as Chief Minister Shinde's stronghold - and his speech during this visit will all be under radar.

From Shiv Sena district chiefs to municipal councillors, all have openly supported him. Anand Ashram near Thane's Tembhi Naka which is considered as the main centre of Shiv Sena in the district, is also seen to be under Shinde's control. Even though six months have passed since the big rebellion in the party, Uddhav Thackeray did not visit Thane city. Late Thane District Chief Anand Dighe's birth anniversary falls on January 27 and on this occasion, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray has organised Maha Arogya Camp that will take place on 26 January at 10 am. This camp will be held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan at Jambli Naka in Thane. The camp will be inaugurated by party chief Uddhav Thackeray.
