Fire breaks out at around 3:15 PM in one of the coaches of Solapur Express which was stationed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSTM) platform no. 18. Four fire engines rushed to the spot to douse the fire. However, it is said that the firefighters are finding it difficult owing to the thick smoke. RPF and GRP personnel too have reached the spot.
Fortunately, as the coach was empty, no casualty has been reported.
This is the third fire incident reported in the city over the last three days. On Sunday, a massive fire broke out in the Techniplex building killing four people. Another incident was reported when the fire broke out at 6:58 AM in Malad’s MM Mithaiwala shop on Tuesday.
