Air India cabin crew member falls from aircraft at Mumbai Airport

In an unfortunate incident, an Air India cabin crew member on Monday morning fell from the Boeing 777 aeroplane while closing its door. The incident happened at Mumbai airport while the aircraft AI-864 was scheduled to take off for Delhi at 7:00 AM.  

As this happened, Harsha Lobo (53) was immediately rushed to Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle. The flight attendant fell from a 30 feet height and was severely injured.

The incident happened while the lady went to close the aircraft’s door before departure at 6:10 AM. However, in the process, she fell from the Boeing 777. The matter is under investigation, informed an Air India spokesperson.

The doctors informed that she suffered through major injuries with a fracture on her right leg and in both heels along with the injuries in the neck, chest, abdomen, and lower spine.
