The trains from Panvel to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) are running late. This has caused a lot of problem for the commuters. On the first day of the week, most of the commuters were late for their work.
In the first month of the new year, the central railway services have been disrupted four times. On January 2, the railway traffic was affected due to the same problem near Sion railway station.

Earlier, a goods train was halted between Asangaon and Atgaon due to the engine failure. Another engine failure of a goods train was reported between Ambernath and Badlapur on January 5.
