Pooja Raundale, who took over as director of the university's Board of Examination and Evaluation (BoEE) on February 29, will be assessed for the first time during the summer session. Students frequently get enraged with the university's test department because of technical issues and delays in results.

Raundale has pledged to make sure that the upcoming summer examinations are conducted, assessed, and results announced on time. The company has acknowledged that in the past, there have been difficulties such as technological difficulties and result delays within the examination department.

Raundale said they have planned to conduct, assess, and declare the results of summer exams on time.

The Mumbai University exam that was administered on March 1 was complete chaos. The incorrect set of questions was asked on the MA question paper. Consequently, the second question paper required the pupils to wait four hours. When the students received the question paper at 2:30 pm, they were perplexed by the questions, which focused on "India's Foreign Policy."

At 4.40 pm, the 2.30 pm paper began. At 7 pm, the exam was over. This kind of behaviour has led students to voice their disapproval.

On the other hand, due to the exam dates being later than the Mumbai admission months, scores from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) would not be taken into consideration by several prestigious colleges associated with Mumbai University and other central universities for the academic year 2024–2025.

Mithibai College and Narsee Monjee College of SVKM decided in February not to recognise CUET scores for their undergraduate courses. Instead, applicants will now be admitted based on their percentage of 12th grade. During the COVID-19 pandemic, several universities began to accept CUET results for undergraduate applications.
