The alleged sex scandal case of Karnataka's Hassan Lok Sabha MP and JDS party leader Prajwal Revanna has now taken a different turn. The National Commission for Women is looking into the matter and a statement was released by the commission on Thursday, in which the allegations were levelled against the Congress government of Karnataka by the women victims. The National Commission for Women said that one of the victims in the case said that she was pressured to file a false complaint. The National Commission for Women also said that the woman was threatened to be implicated in the case of prostitution if she did not file a false complaint.

Following this statement by the National Commission for Women, former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD(S) party state president HD Kumaraswamy also criticised the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the state government on Thursday. He alleged that women were being pressured to file false complaints. The SIT officials threatened the victimised women and forced them to file a complaint in favour of the Congress government. If they do not file such a complaint, they have been threatened to file a case of prostitution.

Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Gowda had criticised the Hassan Lok Sabha MP's sex video case as the biggest sex scandal in the world. Taking note of this criticism, HD Kumaraswamy said that the SIT officials are going to the victims' houses and threatening them. Aren't the SIT officials forcing the victims to report by issuing false threats? Which case is investigated like this? He raised such questions.

“Where have you kept the kidnapped victim? Why has she not been produced before the court? Do you support the act of making private videos of victimised women go viral? Questions have also been raised by Kumaraswamy.

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave an interview to a news channel and was asked about the Prajwal Revanna case, he responded that a policy of zero tolerance should be adopted against people like Prajwal Revanna. Speaking further, he also questioned the timing of the release of these videos. These videos were not recorded in one day. When this video was recorded, JDS was in alliance with Congress.
