Major social media platforms that include the likes of WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook went down on late Monday night, with reports speculating a global outage alongside a technical failure that has hindered the services of these platforms.

These platforms are owned by the American internet force Facebook. At nearly 9 pm, India time, users experienced outages on all the above-mentioned platforms. They then took to other platforms to voice their discontent regarding a plethora of issues they faced that include the likes of fresh messages not loading, or the user feed being disrupted.
