On Wednesday, May 22,a 6-year old boy died while he was playing in hydraulic parking and a car collapsed on him. This event happened in Veena Santoor building in Mahavir Nagar, Kandivali. His father was present at the spot and rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Along with the 6-year old, another kid was also injured in the incident but is now in a stable condition.

The watchman was arrested and a case of negligence was registered against the builder and 2 contractors who were hired for the maintenance of the hydraulic parking.
On May 22, the police had registered a case of Accidental Death Report (ADR), however, after further investigation,it was revealed that it was a case of negligence and on May 23, the builder and other 2 contractors were further arrested.
The accused have been booked under section 304A for causing death by negligence and section 337 for endangering the life and personal safety of others of the IPC (Indian Penal Code).
