Mumbai: Gas Leak In Ghatkopar, One Dead, Two Injured

On Monday, January 10, a gas leak incident was reported in Mumbai's Ghatkopar West at the Kurla Industrial Estate, reported news agency ANI. Owing to this gas leak, one person lost his life, while two were injured, stated the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Accounts claim that the said mishap transpired at 8.15 am on Monday. Additionally, based on reports, officials have elaborated on how Ramnivas Saroj who was 36 years old was declared brought dead at the civic-run Rajawadi Hospital.

On the other hand, Rubin Solkar who is also 36 years old and Sarvansh Sonavane who is 25 years old are presently undergoing treatment at Rajawadi Hospital. Doctors have remarked that Solkar and Sonavane are in stable condition.

An official was quoted by reports elucidating on how a methanol and cyanuric chloride gas leakage took place in the industrial estate. It was designated as a Level 1 incident, added the official. 

Moreover, narratives have cited fire brigade officials who mentioned that they were at the location and plugging the gas leak. Based on accounts, the cause of the gas leak has not been ascertained yet.
