Police books 1Above restaurant’s owners for duping PF of employees

The accused of 1Above restaurant Kripesh Sanghvi, Jigar Sanghvi and Abhijeet Mankar who have been arrested for the Kamala Mills fire incident, have now been booked for another crime. They have been accused of not filing provident funds (PF) of their employees which sums up to ₹10 lakh. 

Post the Kamala Mills fire incident, upon investigation, stumbled upon the fact that 1Above owners owe about 100 employees their PF.

Provident fund expert Sharad Gujarati found out about the pending PF after which he filed a complaint with N M Joshi Marg police. The police have booked Sanghvi brothers and Mankar under section 409, 406 and 34 of IPC for the same.

A fire broke out in Kamala Mills Mojo's Bistro restaurant because of a hookah which was placed in the corner of the same restaurant. The fire started spreading and reached 1Above restaurant which was adjacent to Mojo's Bistro killing 14 people.
