On Wednesday, Maratha Kranti Morcha had observed a strike in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai where the protestors carried out a silent protest. However, in Mankhurd, protestors turned violent and torched one BEST bus.
In connection with the same, Mankhurd police have arrested three men – Mahendra Shingare, Pankaj Thorat, Ajit Sarvane and all three have been sent to police custody.

When the bus was set on fire, tension gripped Mankhurd and police started dispersing the crowd. Meanwhile, the police took help of the Mumbai fire brigade team and doused the fire. Also, when the accused were setting the BEST bus on fire, the police recorded the same. Hence, it helped the police officials to nab the miscreants.
